The golden autumn has just begun and brings us many concert highlights all over the world. As usual, we have summarized the concert highlights of our artists in our monthly event preview.
If you are searching for a special opera highlight, you might think about a trip to Mexico City: Felix Krieger will conduct the Latin American premiere of Verdi's opera "Stiffelio" with the orchestra and choir of the Teatro de Bellas Artes on the 4th of October. Another performance will take place on October 7.
Autumn also offers a lot of classical festivals for your event calendar. The Mozart Piano Quartet with Paul Rivinius will play a concert at the Usedom Music Festival on October 9. Pianist Marianna Shirinyan will be guesting at the Oxford Chamber Music Festival from October 8 to 12. She also plays concerts in Silkeborg, Holstebro, Aarhus, Lörrach and Helsingborg this month.
Aldo Baerten plays a recital at the Flute Festival Lille and gives a master class there.
The Doric String Quartet will play at the Oxford Songs Festival on October 15. In addition, the ensemble will perform in October in Fuglsang, Bedford, Berlin and Tokyo.
Concerts and recitals
Popular violist Nils Mönkemeyer gives a concert with Maximilian Hornung and William Youn on October 1 in Kronberg. He also shares the stage with William Youn and Sabine Meyer on October 17 and 19 in Elmau. The string quartet of the Staatskapelle Berlin and Yulia Deyneka will perform an extraordinary concert at the Anya Irini Museum in Istanbul on October 26. From October 4-20, László Fenyö will be performing as a solo cellist for the Lucerne Festival Orchestra on their tour in China and Mila. Esther Saladin will give a concert on October 10 and 11 in Basel and Zurich with Soyuz21 under the title "Schichtung". On October 28, Claudio Bohórquez will give a concert with the German Symphony Orchestra Berlin under Andrew Litton for the 60th anniversary of the debut in Deutschlandradio Kultur. From October 29 on, the sought-after cellist will perform at the Cello Academy Rutesheim with various recitals.
Jasmin-Isabel Kühne will perform at a trio concert with harp, flute and cello at the Tangerhütte cultural center on the 8th of October.
The clarinetist Thorsten Johanns gives concerts this month with the Aris Quartet in Bruchsal (October 11) and with the German Wind Soloists in Eckernförde (October 14). On October 13, Johanna Dömötör will be performing with the Munich Chamber Orchestra at Prinzregententheater. Works by Boccherini, Schumann and Haydn will be played there. On the same day, Ramón Ortega Quero will give a concert with the English Chamber Orchestra and Ana de la Vega at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. Works by Haydn and Stamitz will be brought to the stage.
In Wiesloch, people are looking forward to a duo recital by pianist Nicholas Rimmer with violinist Tianwa Yang on October 12. On October 20, Carlota Amado gives a duo concert with Tonja Cuic at the Salonfestival in Hanover with works by Schubert, Moszkowski and Brahms. At the Essen Philharmonic, László Fassang will perform at the Organ Battle with Sebastian Küchler-Blessing on October 10.
The percussion ensemble Double Beats has a busy schedule this month with concerts with the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra and the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin. The Kuss Quartet will be giving a Beethoven concert at the Philharmonic Hall Yerevan on October 9. On the 19th and 20th of October, the ensemble will play three more concerts in the Orangerie Herrenhausen in Hanover, which will also be dedicated to Beethoven. At the Stadttheater Amberg the quartet Passo Avanti will perform their concert program "Begegnungen mit Mozart" on October 25.
Reinhard Goebel will conduct a concert with the Presidential Symphony Orchestra Ankara on October 10 and 11. Works by Bach, Mozart and Vivaldi will be performed. On October 25, Daniel Raiskin will conduct the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra at a concert with works by Fauré, Ravel and Glazunov in Warsaw. Hossein Pishkar will conduct numerous concerts this month with the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada, the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn.
"3 mal Beethoven" – a special event is set to happen in Lucerne on October 13. Robert Koller will perform on stage together with the Lucerne Concert Choir and the Camerata Musica Lucerne under Philipp Klahm. From October 18 to 20, the bass baritone will perform Mozart's "Requiem" in Interlaken, Arlesheim and Seewegen.
