The violist Nils Mönkemeyer starts the week with a series of concerts with the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne under Simone Young in Lausanne and Geneva. At the weekend, the soloist will be guesting in Dresden, playing two concerts with the Dresden Philharmonic under the direction of Michael Sanderling. Jens Peter Maintz will be on stage together with the Hamburg Camerata in the crypt in the Michel Hamburg on Thursday. The program of the concert includes works by Boccerini, Tchaikovsky and Brahms. On May 25, the cellist will be performing together with the Minguet Quartet at the Kanden church concerts. At this year's Maiklänge Festival in Verden, Claudio Bohórquez will be giving several concerts this weekend. Judith Ermert plays a chamber music concert in Antwerp on Saturday with works by Mozart, Haydn, Haim, among others.
The HKU Flute Festival in Utrecht invites you to several exciting concerts and workshops this week, f.e. with Aldo Baerten. The duo Breidenstein & Kühne, featuring the harpist Jasmin-Isabel Kühne, are going to give a concert under the title "Come to the castle tomorrow at eleven o'clock" in Vellmar on Sunday. The pianist Paul Rivinius will perform with the Trio Clemente in Wilhelmshaven on May 22. On May 24, he will give a recital with his brother Gustav Rivinius in Saarbrücken.
The Kuss Quartet will be guesting in Orléans on May 21, where they will a concert with Beethoven's string quartets Op. 59. At a concert in Newbury Springs on May 22, the Doric String Quartet performs works by Haydn, Martinu and Beethoven. On Sunday, the ensemble will be in London, where there will be a concert with Ben Grosvenor at Milton Court. The program includes music by Janacek, Chopin and Dvorak.
Reinhard Goebel conducts two concerts this week with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León and the pianist Iván Martín in Castilla y León. Works by Bach, Mozart and Haydn will be played. Daniel Raiskin will conduct a concert in Eindhoven on Saturday with the Gürzenich Chamber Orchestra Cologne, cellist Giovanni Sollima and the Storioni Trio.
Flutist Johanna Dömötör will be a judge at this weekend's Prima la Musica national competition in Klagenfurt.
