The Easter holidays are coming. In addition to contemplative holidays, we are looking forward to unforgettable concerts and exciting master classes this week.

Concerts, events and master classes

For example, Gustav Rivinius will give a master class in cello in Berlin from 15th to 20th of April. The cellist Esther Saladin will be guest at the Sonemus Festival in Sarajevo on April 17. In Baden-Baden, Claudio Bohórquez gives a concert on Friday with the Scharoun ensemble and soprano Rinnat Moriah. Meanwhile. Flutist Aldo Baerten is on South America Tour through Brazil and Colombia with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra.

For Nicholas Rimmer the week starts with a concert with the Trio Gaspard in the beautiful city of Genoa. The ensemble plays works by Haydn, Rihm, Ravel and Schubert. On Thursday, a concert with harpsichord and baroque violin with Hwa-Won Rimmer follows in the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, where under the title "Mysteries" Biber Rosenkranz sonatas will be performed next to image viewings. In Beirut, Paul Rivinius will perform a recital with Julian Steckel on Tuesday. On the same day, Joseph-Maurice Weder will give a master class for students in Poayàn, followed by a duo-recital with violinist Heidi Schmid on April 17. The duo is going to play works by Brahms, Dubugnon and Moser. Kateryna Titova plays, also on Wednesday, a piano duo concert with Edgar Wiersocki in the Bechstein-Zentrum Hamburg. On Friday, Marianna Shirinyan will perform at a chamber music concert with Daniel Rowland and Maja Bogdanovic in Yerevan. Katia Skanavi will give a recital in Marseille on the same day, where the sought-after pianist will play works by Chopin.

On Monday, Hossein Pishkar conducts the symphony concert of the Staatsorchester Stuttgart with works by Sciarrino, Romitelli and Beethoven at the Culture and Congress Center Liederhalle. On April 17, Victoria Bond's chamber opera "CLARA" will be brought to the stage under the musical direction of Michael Hasel at the Theater Baden-Baden.

Sunhae Im will perform Brahms' "A German Requiem" with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in Tel Aviv on April 16 and 17. On April 19, Robert Koller sings Bach's "Johannes Passion" with the Schaffhausen Oratorio Choir and the Württemberg Symphony Orchestra in the concert church of St. Johann Schaffhausen. A special highlight awaits opera lovers on Saturday in Augsburg: The famous tenor Gerhard Siegel invites you to a gala performance "Siegel & Friends" in cooperation with the Staatstheater Augsburg. Here you will experience a concert performance of Wagner's "Walküre" with a prominent cast. This highlight of this Easter’s Sunday is another performance of Strauss’ “Ariadne auf Naxos” at Mainfranken Theater Würzburg. Ilia Papandreou is going to play the role of "Primadonna / Ariadne".

Thus, the registration phase for the International Competition Valsesia Musica for Violin with Orchestra ends this Friday. The International Paderewski Piano Competition awaits your registration until April 20, as well as the Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition.
