Concerts and events

Welcome to our new preview - this time with lots of chamber music and the first festival day of the International Flute Seminar Bruges in 2018: Aldo Baerten and the IFSB team invite flutists of all ages and levels to the Adams Flute Center in Ittervoort on February 17th! We also happily present a new face at premiertone and in the preview: Diana Tischchenko gives two concerts in Gera on February 14th and 15th in which she performs Bach's Violin Concerto in E major BWV 1042.

Nicolai Gerassimez gives a concert with Wassily Gerassimez in Bad Homburg on February 18th. Nicholas Rimmer performs with Ronan Collett in Stuttgart on February 13th and with Hwa-Won Rimmer in Wigan on February 17th. You can listen to Paul Rivinius and Hermína Szabó at the Künsterhaus am Lenbachplatz in Munich on February 18th, and Joseph-Maurice Weder interprets works by Duvernoy, Schubert, Mozart and Brahms in Mindelzell on February 17th.

In Cologne, Nils Mönkemeyer performs Bartók's Viola Concerto on February 18th. He will be accompanied by the Gürzenich-Orchester Köln conducted by Nicholas Collon. The Kuss Quartet with Mikayel Hakhnazaryan appears, also on February 18th, at the Academy of Music Franz Liszt in Budapest and Esther Saladin gives a concert with the ensemble proton bern at the Dampfzentrale Bern on February 12th.

Clemens Schuldt conducts the Northern Sinfonia of England in Gateshead on February 16th and 17th. Meanwhile, Daniel Raiskin travels to Poland: He conducts the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic and Andrei Ioniță on February 16th.


Until February 15th, singers can apply for the Wilhelm Stenhammar International Music Competition in Sweden. On March 1st, there is the deadline for the application to the Bach Competition Leipzig which is open to pianists, cembalists and (baroque) violinists.
