Concerts and events with the premiertone artists

We begin our new preview with a song recitalJoseph-Maurice Weder and Eugen Hilti (baritone) interpret Schubert's "Die schöne Müllerin" in Schaan (Liechtenstein) on October 9th.

In Cologne, you can attend to the opening concert of the series "KammerMusikKöln": Along with other musicians, Oren Shevlin plays works by Schumann, Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Gade on October 15th. On the same evening, Andra Darzins and the Ensemble Modern interpret works by Harrison Birtwistle and Andrea Lorenzo Scartazzini in the Philharmonie of Cologne - two of the compositions celebrating their German premiere! Another chamber music highlight is going to take place at the Künstlerhaus in Boswil: On October 15th, Thorsten Johanns plays a concert with CHAARTS and Christoph Prégardien. 

Also on October 15th, Meike Bertram and her Nomos Quartet play quartets and quintets by Boccherini, Debussy and Mozart in Hanover. Barbara Buntrock has been invited to the series "2 x hören" of the Konzerthaus Berlin and is going to play Brahms' Sonata for Viola and Piano in F minor on October 9th. 

The Trio Gaspard appears at two concerts this week: The ensemble gives a concert at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester on October 12th and performs in Ahaus on October 15th. Jonian-Ilias Kadesha is additionally going to give a concert with his Trio Kadesha-Plath-Müller at the Dilsberger Kammermusiktage.

Peter Donohoe starts a concert tour through Great Britain on October 15th in Warwick. He is going to interpret Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 4 with the St Petersburg Symphony Orchestra in Warwick and several other cities during the next weeks. The Kuss Quartet also travels through Great Britain: The ensemble interprets quartets by Beethoven and Shostakovich on October 12th in Manchester and works by Beethoven, Schubert and Kurtág on October 14th in Norwich. Jens Peter Maintz gives several concerts in Japan. 

Marianna Shirinyan performs on three occasions this week: She appears on October 11th in Gjovik (Norway) and on October 14th in Kokkola (Finland). Additionally, she takes part in a charity concert for Live Music Now on October 15th in Berlin. Daniel Raiskin conducts works by Mozart, Piazzolla and Shostakovich on October 13th in Warsaw, and Clemens Schuldt has been invited to Tjumen where he is going to conduct compositions by Haydn, Stravinsky and Mendelssohn Bartholdy on October 10th.

Finally, we would like to invite you to two broadcasts on the radio and the TV: Daniel Finkernagel presents WDR 3 Mosaik on October 13th and Passo Avanti has been invited to KlickKlack at BR Fernsehen on October 10th.


We would also like to point out two approaching deadlines for competitions: Pianists can apply for the Honens International Piano Competition until October 31st, and even until November 8th, musicians of different instruments can apply for the Deutscher Musikwettbewerb.
